As Hurricane Helene devastated much of western NC and surrounding areas, Ellie wanted to use her sports journalistic skills to help her roots. Ellie is originally from Wilkes County, North Carolina and has been working to bring the most up-to-date boots on the ground information while also sharing resources. As Helene's path was far and wide, Ellie has tried to narrow down her resources for giving to a region. Ellie is still providing as much coverage as possible to all of western North Carolina.
